Favorite Bra & Underwear
I rarely share my blog ideas with Justin, but for some reason I mentioned this one to him and could immediately tell he wasn’t a fan of the topic. “Why would you post about that?” He asked. “Well, because I think it could be helpful to women.” And that’s all that needs to be said about that. That’s the main reason behind most of my posts both here and on Instagram. If I’ve found something that makes my life even just the tiniest bit better, I want to share it with others, even if it might embarrass my husband a bit.
So, let’s talk about the girls. I’m gonna be real and tell you that they have suffered post children. I was never very blessed in that department, but now they are sad little chicken cutlets, needing all the help they can get. Since leaving my job and not having to get dressed up every day, I’ve been a big fan of the cami type bras. I still love them, but since having Paloma, those really don’t do great things for me and I’m basically horrified any time I see a pic where I’m wearing one. But, your girl is all about the comfort, so, what to do? I had been in the market for a wireless bra that provides some support and had seen and heard about this one. I had honestly never shopped at Soma before, but decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, this bra is AMAZING! It’s comfortable, smooth under t-shirts and sweaters, and gives the sad little girls just the boost they need to make mama feel like she’s back!
Ok, on to underwear. First of all, I will say I am not a thong girl. I wear em when I have to, but I’m usually not thrilled about it. I feel like there are women who can wear a thong 24/7 and not give it another thought. (They will sleep in thongs. SLEEP. Whaaaaat??? Never. Makes me think of passing out in college after a night of partying and waking up with my make up smudged on my face, cotton mouth hungover. I shudder.) So, there’s that group. And then there are those of us who want to be comfortable. So much so that I actually love the postpartum giant stretchy gauze underwear moms get the in hospital to the point where I bought myself a month’s supply…. C-O-M-F-O-R-T. That being said, that’s obviously not the most…um… sexy choice of undergarments. So, I’m always looking for a good option that doesn’t scream granny panty. I think I’ve found the perfect pair. They’re soft and lightweight, good coverage and almost seamless. They come in different colors and there’s even have a similar option with lace. Dare I say, semi-sexy?? I bought several pairs and love them.
Let me know on Instagram if you give either of these a try. And Justin, if you’re reading this (which you’re likely not), I hope you’ll survive knowing that your wife has shared her favorite under things on the internet.
