Four More Favorite Baby Products
Paloma is now FOUR months old, so I thought I would share FOUR more baby products we’ve used a lot these past few months. I did a post a couple months ago on some of our favorite baby items, and here are a few more to add:
There are so many wraps and carriers and you have to find what works best for you. While it’s long and takes some practice to tie correctly, the Solly wrap has been my favorite way to wear little P. She has always been a snuggler and happiest when held, so this has allowed me to have her close while actually getting things done. I love the super soft fabric and she feels very secure. Plus, it’s easy to travel with because I can just fold it up and throw it in my diaper bag.
Our first bath experience with Paloma, and the dozen or so that followed, was pretty awful. We were bathing her in the kitchen sink and she would scream the whole time. I saw that a friend was using this bath support with her baby and decided to try it. Instant game changer! We now have a bath lover. It keeps her securely in place while she’s basically lounging in shallow water in the tub. I actually look forward to bath time now seeing how much she enjoys it.
We used this swaddle with Runner and I’m glad we kept them for Baby P because it really seemed to be the best type of swaddle for us as far as getting her to stay asleep longer and her not being able to break out of it. It’s a favorite of parents because the custom velcro closure allows you to wrap that baby up like a little burrito. They ain’t going nowhere. The moisture-wicking fabric helps reduce the risk of overheating and the opening at the bottom allows for easy diaper changes. It’s on the pricier side, but worth it.
Run discovered his thumb early on (and it still finds its way into his mouth at night…), so he never used pacifiers, but this baby has loved her some paci since Day 1. Our biggest struggle has been getting her to keep it in her mouth! She drops it out constantly and it makes it really challenging on car rides and when trying to get her to stay asleep…(hence me spending these first four months with one hand on her pacifier at all times). Unfortunately, she didn’t really take to the shape of the Wubbanub paci with the little animal attached, but I got several recommendations for the BiBs and she liked it right away. She still struggles with keeping it in her mouth, but it seems to stay in better than any others we’ve tried. Plus, they’re made from natural rubber.
